Team of Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency in Olsztyn is pleased to announce that the III Eastern Markets Forum - Warmia and Mazury economic partner of Eastern Europe was attended by over 240 people.
Representatives of the 28 foreign companies from Armenia, Estonia, Lithuania, Russia and more than 140 representatives of companies from Warmia and Mazury have participated at the conference panel, seminaries, and direct business meetings.
The aim of the Forum was to designed to revive economic ties with eastern markets, as well as establishing direct contacts to enable the economic and investment companies from abroad and from Warmia and Mazury Region.
In the first part of the Forum there were presented prospects for economic cooperation in the context of the Eastern Partnership. In the conference participated representatives of the Polish Government and representatives of Business Environment Institutions. The hosts of the ceremony were Mr Jacek Protas Marshal of Warmia and Mazury Voivodship and Bożena Cebulska Board President of Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency in Olsztyn. The conference was attended by Jerzy Marek Nowakowski - Polish Ambassador in Latvia, Ryszard Kowalski - Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of the Polish Embassy in Vilnius, Zbigniew Swierczynski - Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of the Embassy of Poland in Kaliningrad, Andrew Perlik - Counsellor of the Ministry of Economy
During the matchmaking session (B2B) there were taken over 60 direct talks between the foreign business representatives and entrepreneurs from Warmia and Mazury. Staff of Enterprise Europe Network Warmia-Mazury Regional Development Agency in Olsztyn assisted the talks. Additional language support was assured by students of English and Russian Studies at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
Entrepreneurs in the B2B session have also had the opportunity to consult representatives of Departments of Trade and Investment Promotion Sections of Polish embassies in Vilnius, Minsk, Kaliningrad.
During the Forum there have been presented the investment offers of Business Environment Institutions in the Warmia-Mazury: Warmińsko-Mazurska Special Economic Zone, the Suwałki Special Economic Zone - subzone in Ełk and Gołdap and Military Property Agency Department in Olsztyn, Warmia and Mazury Investor Service Centre - Certified Partner PAIiIZ 2010-2013 (WMRDA in Olsztyn) and other Voivodships from Eastern Poland.
After B2B session companies from Warmia and Mazury had opportunity to extend knowledge as far as security systems, financial transactions in trade with entrepreneurs from the eastern markets are concerned. During the seminar there were discussed issues concerning Polish exports to eastern markets, insurance and trade with partners at increased risk, the Customs Union of Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan.
Foreign entrepreneurs during the seminar found ot “How to make a good bussines in Warmia and Mazury". During the seminar were raised issues regarding the establishment and conduct of business by foreign entities, the basis of the tax system in Poland, support system of foreign investors and business cooperation in Warmia and Mazury Region and there were presented the most attractive investment offers in Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship of Special Economic Zones.

The III Eastern Markets Forum under the patronage of Minister of Economy took place on 4 October 2011 in Hotel Krasicki, Lidzbark Warmiński within the European SME Week 2011.
Conference "III Forum Eastern Markets - Warmia and Mazury economic partner of Eastern Europe" was implemented under the project "Establishment and development of Investor Service Centres network" co-financed by the Operational Program Development of Eastern Polish Operation 1.4.2.
